After long discussions with my wife, kids and inner self...........

AfraLisp will be back, but will be financed and controlled by myself.

I've had many "offers" from all sorts of weird and wonderful people to host/take-over/ archive AfraLisp - many with conditions, some without.

This has made me realise a couple of things:

i) I now know that my initial ideas of the site was correct.

ii) To teach, share ideas, and to learn is not a bad thing.

iii) Any suggestions of profit should be rejected.

I will welcome all tutorial contributions to the new site.

The aim of AfraLisp always was and always will be a Tutorial site.
I've never been interested in maintaining a repository of AutoLisp/VBA routines. My thoughts were always aimed towards teaching.

Gropus like this serve a valuable but immediate solution to peoples problems.
AfraLisp in my eyes should me more of a reference site.

I firmly believe that everyone has a tutorial inside them. Albeit, sometimes buried very deep.

But, all the members here answer questions and offer solutions to a wide variety of questions.
To me it's just a short step way from answering a question to fleshing it out a wee bit into becoming a tutorial.
That's where AfraLisp will come in.

I am quite happy to format, categorise, fill in a few gaps, add a couple of images, check the spelling, remove swear words etc, etc.

My biggest problem has always been content!!! Do you know how many times I've sat glaring at the screen wondering what the hell to ramble on about. In a nutshell, to work in isolation is difficult. I need and welcome fresh ideas and points of view.

I'm looking at a site launch of the 1st of September.
